It is human nature to always be in the ‘know-how’…to know exactly what is going on and what we might be ‘missing out on’. Well, I am going to fill you in now on 5 trends that you just ‘have to know about’!
Checkered Pattern
Oh where do I start? We are seeing a lot of checkered patterns returning this season – in the form of coats and dresses! This pattern really never goes out of style, but it’s always exciting to see when it comes back and in what form! Is it going to be a new cut, a new look, but still the same pattern!
Florals
Another thing I’m seeing a lot of lately is florals – in the form of add-ons on a coat, floral shirts…flowers are everywhere! Florals also never really go out of style – but again, you just never know how you are going to see them come back.
New-Gen Corset
Structured bodices are peeking through here and there! Anything that cinches at the waist is usually a ‘go-to’ for most of us…as it tends to be really flattering, so it makes sense that these are on trend. Whenever I think of anything that has a ‘corseted’ look and feel to it…I always tend to think of the Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind – holding onto her bed posts to avoid falling when her corset is being tied. These days we have found a way to achieve a similar look without the pain…or fainting lol. Yeah for 2016!
Bubble Gum Pink
Okay – so now are talking about Pink! Now we are talking! I could do Pink all day…so clearly I understand why this is on trend 😉 Bubble Gum Pink is seen this season in the form of faux fur coats, tights, purses, crop jackets, skirts – and all being paired to together at the same time – why? Because if done the right way, you can still achieve that effortless runway look.
Leopard Print
…And last but not least. Leopard Print is one of those things that will literally never go out of style. It comes back all the time and it doesn’t have to change much at all in terms of approach. We are usually conditioned to seeing leopard printed boots or full body suits – who am I kidding – we are used to seeing it in all forms 😉 This season it is coming back with a bang and showing up on coats…anything that is virtually full body is where we are seeing this!
