So for those of you who have been following along and know what I’m all about – then you definitely know that I have been following the Game of Thrones – HBO Series quite religiously. This really is one of my obsessions – so when L’Oreal (Urban Decay) reached out to team up on this one … you can imagine my excitement!

1. Start with the Braids

The braids are really one of the most defining things about Khaleesi. If you watch her character progress from Season 1 to Season 8, you’ll notice that she starts to accumulate more braids and the hairstyle builds as her character builds. The more she starts to really slide into the role of ‘leader’ – and continued ‘breaker of chains’ – the more we see that strength being shown in her overall ‘look’ as well.

So…taking that into consideration – I definitely wanted to pull of something that felt very Chic Sophistic – but also very much Khaleesi-like – and so we have the double-braided look on the go here. The perfect balance between the two – if you could look at it that way!

2. Find An Incredible Make-Up Artist

Ok. So this one is not actually ‘a must’ – but I had to add this to the checklist because I really needed an excuse to call out the wonderful and talented Sasha Mercedes Simler – @chaneleverlast. She is one awesome make-up artist – the Urban Decay go-to artist – the one is brought in and reached out to when they need a job done well! A woman who can handle almost any request – and pull off any look!

3. Find An Awesome Make Up Palette To Work With

In this case – I was provided with the actual Exclusive – Urban Decay – Game Of Thrones – HBO collab Palette – outfitted with 4 separate sections that featured a few different looks – House Targaryen, House Lannister, House Stark, and The North.

House Targaryen – The colour scheme here is really all about the ‘Reds’ and ‘Purples’. There was serious business to be had here – and this look really had to say it all – without even requiring one word to be spoken.

House Lannister – The focus here was ‘Gold’ – it’s all about the gold and the richness of it all. We all know from watching the show – that it has been said that the ‘The Lannisters Always Pay Their Debts’ – and that everything for them is all about the money and power. So if you’re looking to pull of a super powerful look – then this is the section for you!

House Stark – Here we see ‘Purple’ and ‘Green’ – colours that really speak to the overall vibe and essence of this house – colours that signify some degree of warmth – but that also are serious when it comes down to the real stuff. This look is also a powerful one – one filled with heart and strength.

The North – Last but but not least – we have The North. We know this one definitely has to include some ‘cold’ colours – colours and/or shades – and boy does it! I mean – one of the powders on this palette is actually labelled as ‘White Walker’. If you want to pull off a chic – yet rustic snowy look – then this is the way to go!
