The Right Tools - The Importance of Technology
So as you all know – the team and I are always exploring new partnership opportunities – and new ways that we can really take the Chic Sophistic brand to new levels – take our ‘Chic and Unique’ experience to a tangible space (and to a place) where our followers and supporters can really touch and feel the brand in fresh new ways. Like anything in life – the great things don’t just land on your lap – you really have to go after what you love and what you are truly dreaming about achieving in your life – to finally get there. That’s why we feel it is key to call out the importance of ensuring that you prepare yourself with the right tools and surround yourself with the right people – to really ultimately move in the right direction. This is where our partnership with Huawei Mobile Canada comes in. We’ve recently made the switch over to their latest flagship smartphone – the Huawei P40 Pro –  which has really helped make content creation and our everyday things so much easier and just effortless overall. The majority of my day is dedicated to social media posting and sharing – producing other digital content and connecting with our brand partners – as well as setting up video call interviews and other exciting initiatives – that are all tied to me “connecting” with people.
In terms of what I look for in technology that I use – I really aim to have it line up with my overall lifestyle – essentially my approach to life. The way that my #Huawei P40 Pro is designed – it’s sleek and slim screen – the fashion forward look that it has – and all of the built in elements – 50 MP Ultra Vision Camera, 12 MP Telephoto Camera, 40 MP Ultra-Wide Cine Camera, 3D Depth Sensing Camera – already make me feel like I’m starting off on the right foot! Having a phone that takes photography for our socials to the next level is key and knowing that the P40 Pro has been consistently rated Best Smartphone Camera made it an easy sell for us. It’s 5 cameras and the abundance of different camera capabilities are unmatched by other smartphones we’ve previously used. The other element that really make this phone a true experience – and a great one at that – is the seamless transition Huawei has laid out to switch from one smartphone to another and still access all of our favourite apps.

Huawei App Gallery
Already comes loaded on my Huawei P40 Pro Smartphone. This is their official app delivery platform for Huawei devices and is available for any new apps you’d like to download after using Phone Clone.
Phone Clone
A super easy way to transfer data from my previous device to my Huawei P40 Pro Smartphone. All we had to do was launch ‘Phone Clone’ app on both devices – scan the QR code and once there was a connection in place – we followed the prompts and could easily transfer information and data over and start the migration within a 30-40 minute timespan.
Petal Search
The latest app that comes pre-installed on most new Huawei devices and gives me access to over 1 Million Apps – including Google Apps for those wondering. All I have to do is pinch my home screen with two fingers and tap ‘widgets’ and voila – the ‘Petal Search’ app shows up. I dragged it into an empty part of my home screen and then I was all set to go. Anything that I couldn’t find via the Huawei AppGallery – I found here. Everything is literally at my fingertips!

The Right Place - The Right People
We’ve covered off technology – and now that we have settled everything with the “P40 Pro” – we can move onto the “People”. There have been a lot of changes and moves – a lot of transitions – and one of the best things that has happened to us lately – is meeting our mentor Hemant Bhagwani. He owns 50+ restaurants in Toronto and really knows how to bring the best of Indian food to the Canadian market. With his guidance and advice – we have decided to take our brand to a new level and are now offering our very own Chic Sophistic Coffee! Thought that might ‘perk’ you up – it certainly perked us up and really got us excited about bringing our experience and our love for life – to you – in a fresh new brew! One thing that we have found really continues to keep us grounded is the idea of being truly grateful for all of the incredible people and for the technology that continues to keep us on the right path – and connected to the right people. Remember to hang on to those special few who really value you and support you in life – they are the ones who will be with you the whole way through. The ones who will always have your back. So – keep on dreaming – believing and going after everything that you want in this life. Envision all of the beautiful things that you want in your life – then envision you having all of all of it.
