CAFA 2017 – A FASHION EVENT TO REMEMBER
I had an amazing time at this year’s CAFA Awards – after party was definitely a blast! As I am sure you can tell – I am already a fan of Fashion Shows – anything Fashion is right up my alley – but I particularly loved this event because of the overall diversity and yet inclusiveness of it all! It served as an opportunity for designers, fashionistas, attendees, influencers – to all connect with eachother. Often when we attend these events, it is usually very difficult to connect with others as it is something that I normally get access to backstage, but in a very limited way. What I mean by that, is if I went to go and see one of the designers present their latest fashion line, I would normally get access to that one designer backstage for a few quick questions and then head out to catch the next designer. However, at this event, it was really a celebration of Fashion overall, and many designers and celebrities showed up to share in this celebration – allowing everyone to really mingle and get to know eachother a bit better.
I will also say that being a person who truly loves to “people watch” – something that I learned is a favourite past time for many it seems – something that I picked up on my visits to Paris – I really noticed some gorgeous outfits there that night. People definitely dressed to impress – there were some stunning beaded dresses – a few men dressed up in some awesome suits – one that I remember was lined with a zipper instead of stitching – and another designer wearing a pink suit!
